There is a sprawling shallow river with random huts by its shore that offers home-cooked meals that really fills you up. The area might be hot during summer but it is very relaxing. Vigan empanadas are heavenly crunchers in your mouth. Made out of dough flattened with a PVC pipe, it is filled with vegetables, vigan longganisa and egg then dropped in a deep fryer until it achieves its perfect crisp. There are a lot of stalls that sell these beauties.
